The Prudential Center in Boston is an important commercial, residential and civic complex. It has many buildings in its 23 acres and is located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. It is bounded by Belvidere Street, Dalton Street, Exeter Street, Boylston Street, and Huntington Avenue.The Center houses the famous Prudential Tower, which at 749 feet high and 52 floors, is the second tallest building in Boston after the John Hancock Tower.
The building was designed by Charles Luckman and Associates for the insurance company; Prudential Insurance. The Tower was built in 1964 and was at the time the tallest building in the world outside of New York City. It has 4,000 windows and almost half a million square feet of office space. The Prudential Tower is a popular attraction in itself with its skywalk observatory on the 50th floor which provides a breathtaking and panoramic 360 degree view of Boston.

The skywalk observatory is open seven days a week and tickets cost $13 for adults, $11 for senior citizens and students with an ID, and $9 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased through the Skywalk Observatory Kiosk which is located at the Prudential Arcade and is open from 10 am to 6 pm daily.
